Of Goals & Guideposts

What difference would a breast health policy make?

  1. Women across ALL levels of income, across each and every region of South Africa will receive the care they deserve: i.e. effective treatment, affordable care (treatment centre within their immediate vicinity, for example) and psycho-social support for themselves and their families.
  2. Nationwide and thorough breast health awareness and education will be implemented effectively.

Earlier detection = improved cure rate!

Below are the Breast Health Global Intiative’s guidelines on what an effective and equitable breast health policy should look like (with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries.)
