We thought it would be fun to look at some of the things that are being done around the world to raise awareness of breast cancer.
What about this one? Have you heard of mamming? Do you think it will catch on?
Here’s what they say about it:
“Mammograms are uncomfortable and awkward (not to mention expensive), so plenty of women decide not have them. To remove the intimidation factor from the annual check up, breast cancer survivor Michelle Lamont and her friend Michele Jaret, both of ad agency 360i, invented the breast equivalent of planking. It’s called “Mamming,” and it’s when you lay your boobs on stuff.”
And then there is this Greek campaign. the Tweeting Bra.
Nestle Fitness, with the help of agency Ogilvy One, created the Tweeting Bra. Unclasp it, and a breast exam reminder automatically flies through the twittersphere. So forget bras adorned with roses and rhinestones and accessorize your décolletage with the adorable (and sexy!) Twitter bird.
What do you think? Do these kind of campaigns work, or are they jumping on the bandwagon of Pinktober?
